Personality – group show
Curated by Martina Cavallarin
October 31, 2011 - January 14, 2012
PERSONALITY was born as a meeting that proposes a series of relationships between poetics and artistic practices expressed by great masters of contemporary art and emerging in a state of advanced research. It is therefore a project that sees the gallery spaces indicate a line of circulation that relates to strong personalities, intrusive but never excessive, original and complex. In this sense, the character expressed by the authors' works passes from the conceptual and refined sculpture of Tony Cragg's plastic and vital works to the elaboration of the error of the large three-dimensional paintings by Lawrence Carroll, passing through the poor and residential materials of the welcoming place that hosts them by Richard Nonas. The real data and the analytical passages of Maria Teresa Sartori's drawings lead to listening to the installations made up of decontextualized objects of daily use by the young Roberto De Pol to arrive at the acrylic murals with “black light” interventions by another emerging artist, Eric Winarto. The exhibition maintains its indefiniteness unchanged in the sense of keeping open a dialogue and a circulation of ideas, thoughts and forms united by the macroscopic, meaningful and pregnant analyzes ceaselessly sought by the obsessive experimentation of these 6 artistic personalities.
