Giorgia Fincato (Marostica, 1982) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice. Between 2007 and 2009 she lived in New York, devoting herself to drawing, before moving to Rome and finally returning in 2013 to Bassano del Grappa, where she now lives and works. Her artistic practice is based on drawing as a gestural and meditative act, a repetitive movement that generates labyrinthine structures, mental maps and imaginary cities. Works such as the dinamogrammi (2023) evoke \u201cmandalas in which Eastern and Western labyrinths dialogue... maps of an anarchitectural city\u201d, a synthesis of personal intuition and collective imagination.<\/p>\n

In recent years, she has participated in important fairs and exhibitions: Roma Arte in Nuvola (2020, 2024), Artissima in Turin (2023), Art City Bologna (2023, 2025). In 2023, she presented her solo exhibition Diario at the GMR.2 space in Mestre, where drawing becomes a daily practice and a process of knowledge.<\/p>\n

In 2025, she was invited to the MAO \u2013 Museo d'Arte Orientale in Turin as part of the exhibition Rabbit Inhabits the Moon. The art of Nam June Paik in the mirror of time, with the performance The Line We Follow, in which she conducts a meditative drawing ritual inspired by Zen practices and Fluxus poetics. Also in 2025, she participated in the project Senza sapere dove (Without Knowing Where) for Art City Bologna, exploring the concept of \u201coutside\u201d through installations and graphic actions.<\/p>\n

She has exhibited in Italy and abroad: Assembramenti (2020), Soglie e Limiti (2019), Sogno Verde (2015), Galleria Michela Rizzo, Venice; L'inchino dei mostri (2014); Unconventional Twin (2013); Soliloqui (2012); Interiors (2010), Galleria Ugo Ferranti, Rome. He has previously participated in events such as Wopart (Lugano), the Genoa Biennale, projects at universalmuseum Joanneum and Kunst & Handel (Graz, Vienna), MACRO Rome (2017\u20132018), as well as Pierogi (New York, 2008) and Poles Apart Poles Together (Venice Biennale, 2005).<\/p>\n

His research continues to develop as an exploration of drawing in a meditative key: thin lines, fractals and proliferating marks that trace dynamic maps of an inner universe in constant transformation.<\/p>\n
